The baby’s heartbeat can be seen from around 6 full weeks – a truly special moment. At this stage, we can also count the fetuses to see whether you’re expecting one baby or twins. Early scans are performed via the vagina.

You’ll receive beautiful black-and-white images to take home, a report with the baby’s length, gestational age, and due date, as well as photos and short video clips.

No, it is not dangerous for the baby to be scanned with ultrasound.
If the fetus cannot be seen and you’re certain about your gestational age, we will schedule a follow-up scan or refer you to a gynecologist for further evaluation.
Yes – you can still have a scan even if you’re bleeding.
Yes – children are welcome here.
If you find yourselves in the unfortunate situation where the pregnancy has stopped developing, we will do our utmost to support you through the process. We will make sure you have the time and space you need, and we are happy to assist with a referral to a gynecologist or hospital for further care.
