Gender scan
The wait until the 20-week scan can feel long. Many therefore choose to have a gender scan from week 14+0.
A gender scan is a big and emotional event where the whole family can join. Many choose to bring older siblings or grandparents, creating a special moment to share together. Everyone is welcome with us!
Facts and FAQ
The baby may sometimes hide, making it difficult to determine the sex. We have several techniques to encourage the baby to lie in the right position. As a result, most parents receive the gender during the scan, and it is rare that a rescan is needed.

A gender scan is an external scan. Fifteen minutes are allocated for your visit, and we often use the entire time to determine the baby’s sex with certainty. We then also try to capture nice images and video clips of your little one. There is therefore no time for measurements.
At Ultralydklinikken for Gravide, we have extensive experience with twin pregnancies. For a gender scan of twins, extra time is allocated. The 25 minutes are used to ensure the sexes are determined accurately and to capture nice images of the babies. There is therefore no time for measurements.
High-quality black-and-white images of the baby, a congratulatory card, and images and video clips sent to your phone via a QR code.
